THE RHINE BRIDGE IN BREISACH

The last glimpse of home for the Baden deportees to Gurs on October 22–23, 1940

Marking the 80th anniversary of the deportation of Baden and Saar-Palatinate Jews to the southern French internment camp of Gurs on the edge of the Pyrenees, the authors Dr. Bernd Hainmüller and Dr. Christiane Walesch-Schneller addressed the question of the route taken by the deportation trains. Their article, “Die Rheinbrücke Breisach.
