The “Gurs Cycle” by TRIMPIN in Breisach

Seventy years after the deportation of the Jews of Baden, Jewish guests came to Breisach to pay tribute to their families and all those who were murdered: 300 years of the Jewish Community of Breisach.

TRIMPIN, an artist from Seattle who was born in Efringen-Kirchen, brought an installation of his “Gurs Cycle” to the Radbrunnen fountain on Münsterberg hill in Breisach: Like tears, water droplets spell out the names of the deportees, letter by letter.

A memory meal with 120 participants was held on the Radbrunnenallee.
